Extremely rare Viennese school globe by Joh. Georg Rotaug in the spherical dome design. Scale 1:60 million, Austrian, Hungarian & German patent, Cartography Institute G. Freytag & Berndt, Vienna.
The plaster globe features 12 lithographed and colored paper segments, a metal half-meridian ring, a hemispherical dome made of black lacquered sheet metal to illustrate the night hemisphere, and a lacquered cast iron base.
Completely original condition with minor paint damage to the dome and base.
This piece has an attribution mark,
