This sweet 9k gold charm features the Tudor rose in white enamel. The gold has a lovely rosy hue to it, and the white enamel pops against the gold. Circa 1972, this charm was made in Birmingham and is the quintessential symbol of England. The Tudor rose originates from the union of the House of Lancaster and the House of York in 1486, and is the traditional floral emblem often seen around the United Kingdom.
The charm measures 1/2” across, plus an additional 5.8 mm bail. It weighs 1.2 grams.
Marked for 9k gold, Birmingham, 1972, and with the maker’s mark CH.
Sourced on a recent trip to London.
