Artistic sketches and almost poetic descriptions of the “weeds” … with the sensitivity and author’s fascination thereof … as if they were beautiful spring flowers.

This book is in great condition, with only 4-5 almost undetectable mild erasures and/or pencil underlines on its pages.

The textured cover and pages even smell good…. Like a hint of leather.

The 191 pages are glossy and pristine.

The cover is a fine silky weave.

Beautiful … nice and bright gold leaf cover title.

Google … WS Blatchley for his spectacular naturalist career.

This is worthy of being a “coffee table” book … only if you can trust the reader to be gentle with it.

It would show well too, in a shadow box; maybe with a dried flowering weed.

Hate to part with it.

To really get a feel for this author, please read the profiles of his other works … which is the last page of this book. They are incredibly and literally, down to earth.

Note also their respective prices; all in line with the $1.50 price pencilled inside the cover of this book. Probably the new original list price of this gem. See less
