The painting is titled "Zetn Now" and it depicts a woman sitting down on a tree trunk probably picking wild berries.


The woman has a beautiful dress, she is holding a white handbag on on hand and a wooden cane on the other.

The background is very reach and with lots of details, a dirt walking path with shrubs to both sides and the blue sky further away.

The piece is done on a piece of plywood and is signed and titled by the artist.

Black Joe Jackson was a self-taught African-American artist born to a sharecropper family near Atlanta, Georgia in 1920. Jackson created paintings on wooden boards and used easily available materials such as house paint an scrap wood. He was born with dyslexia, and the writings on his paintings demonstrate this. He is oftentimes described as a folk artist or an outsider artist. See less
