A new one in my Gulf series, a meditation on the bountiful, brightly hued flora and fauna of salty seas. This is the third jelly, and the largest. Rich depth, commanding color, large enough to build a room on, yet offering rest to the eye with textured, whitespace.
I would love to see this piece in a coastal home or office. I've had quite a few of these latest seascapes head to Florida and California and I couldn't be more pleased.
This piece has between 7-10 layers of washes and paint and a great contrast as the neutral area is flat paint, while the brightly hued composition has a medium gloss applied to hold the color and protect the sheen.
My work has been juried into many, many shows. My CV can be found at RynbrandtFineArt
