Glamorous setting of two women amongst tropical plants, orchids and a pond with ducks. Fluffy dog at her feet with butterfly landing on its head. Bird in blue coloring on stand. Framed in brushed gold frame with white matt. Numbered 235 of 250. Hand signed.
French Artist: b. 1917-1985 - French Artist Phillipe Noyer's stylized images featuring the material luxury and ephemera surrounding early 20th century high society have an art deco feel. The luminosity in his works comes from a technique he discovered and perfected in which he avoids white in favor of pure colors. Phillip De Noyer became a renowned portrait artist of Paris and London high society. He was also commissioned to paint American stars including Elizabeth Taylor, Dinah Shore and Jean Wallace.
