An elegant, abstract oil painting of angels in nature executed in a sophisticated color palette.

This composition is rich in layers of color, glazing and detail. Ornate garments are emphasized through brushwork, line and shape. Their skin, luminous and expressive, showcase a level of excellence.

The Renaissance period, Classicism and Cubism are primary references for my work. I always begin in the representational and let the work evolve into the abstract or remain representational. Although divergent in process, my work at its core remains connected to the inspirations from which they were conceived. The subject matter whether portraiture, figurative, still life or landscape are important. And yet, the true subject and passion always lies in balance, symmetry, structure, shapes and spacial relationships.

All organic motifs and symbols are for the delight and interpretation of the viewer. These figurative angels have been featured on holiday note cards.
