Boogaard {1842-1887). This painting signed and dated (1879) in the lower right hand corner, is also documented in his handwriting on the back of the painting. It states who he painted it for and where it was painted. The painting is in as found, untouched original condition in original frame. It is in great shape for its age. It is a very well-executed oil painting with many things going one in the yard. Great portrayal of humans and animals in the courtyard depleting everyday routines in that period of time. The size of the painting is 23"W x 26"H. The size of the painting framed is 31"W x 34"H x 2-2"D. It is just a great piece of art for any collector of listed artist from the past centuries. See less
