This sculpture with multiple details is signed Henri Plé and bears the foundry stamp Siot Decauville Fondeur Paris
Henri Honoré Plé (1853 - 1922) was one of Mathurin Moreau's students. His work as a sculptor is mainly inspired by powerful male figures, heroes of history or mythology
from 1877, he exhibited at the Salon and in 1879, he won an honorable mention; he received a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
Very good general condition, slight wear to the patina
