I am offering for sale a pair of super glamorous sconces that bring to mind the smoky clubs of the 70s in Rome such as Gilda or Piper, and in fact Rome is the city where they were produced and where they come from. The production of these vintage appliques is in fact attributable to the historic lighting brand Sciolari, founded in Rome by Angelo Sciolari in 1892, but it is with his namesake nephew - known to history as "Gaetano" - that, starting in the 50s, the brand achieved international success. These sconces have an elegant brass structure, composed of two pieces, a central body and one attached to the upper part that designs two semicircles to which are attached, again with brass hooks, 3 beveled smoked glass discs. Both working and in good vintage condition, they show minimal signs of use and time. Reach out with any additional questions This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
