An extremely refined chest of drawers, whose characteristics suggest that it was made in the cabinet-making workshops of northern Italy, particularly in the Liguria region. Made of solid fruit wood, a very particular wood: the carob tree. The carob tree (Ceratonia siliqua) is an evergreen fruit tree belonging to the legume family. This wood was split and used in ancient times by Italian cabinet-makers, particularly in the Liguria region, for the production of high-quality furniture, highly appreciated for its hardness. This chest of drawers is characterized by a light honey color that highlights the elegant geometric decoration inlaid in the wood that embellishes each side of the chest of drawers. The decoration is clearly classic in taste, personalizing the chest of drawers without weighing it down excessively.
