For sale is an original mixed media wall sculpture by acclaimed California artist Laddie John Dill, a leading figure in the Light and Space movement that emerged in Southern California during the 1960s and '70s. This substantial work—part of Dill’s distinctive “bird” wall sculpture series—features plywood, glass, concrete, and other industrial materials, assembled into a dynamic, abstract avian form. This piece was hung in an Orange County Estate and purchased directly from Laddie. This is a very nice example of Laddie John Dill’s work.

Dill’s work is recognized internationally for its innovative use of material, light, and space. A native of Southern California and graduate of the Chouinard Art Institute (now CalArts), his work is held in the permanent collections of LACMA, MoMA, and the Smithsonian, among others. This sculpture is a standout example of his exploration of form and texture using industrial mediums.
