This is a wonderful, rare, … Read more Spanish Brutalist Coffee Table in Solid Oak, Metal and Patinated Cognac Leather, 1940s or 1950s. This is a wonderful, rare, early and untouched 1940s or 1950s coffee table with a cognac leather top in solid oak and metal in a very distinct Spanish brutalist style. The top in wonderfully patinated cognac leather is a real joy for the eyes. The base in solid oak has a sturdy yet elegant appearance. Please note the face-like shapes in the corner elements - a little piece of (un)intentional wit. The table is a true craftsman made piece with very high quality. Please note the way the leather is attached and the very sturdy way the base in solid oak is made. All very original and untouched. This is simply a gem of a table which will be a conversation piece in your interior. Could also be used as a side table, or as a bench. It comes in a very good vintage condition with a desirable patination on the leather top. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
