Wegner in 1951 and produced by … Read more A beautifully matched set of eight original “ch23” dining chairs, designed by hans j. Wegner in 1951 and produced by carl hansen & søn in denmark. Crafted in a refined combination of oak and teak, these chairs feature wegner’s distinctive sculptural lines and elegant joinery, including the signature cruciform inlays on the backrest. The frames are in excellent structural condition and display a warm vintage patina. The seats were re-woven in italy by the previous owner, using natural river rush. This reweaving adds a subtle touch of italian craftsmanship, with a slightly more rustic finish that blends beautifully with contemporary interiors and provides enhanced comfort to an already well-balanced and ergonomic design. Each chair shows light, honest signs of wear, consistent with age, without compromising their overall beauty and functionality. A rare opportunity to acquire a full, characterful set of eight.
