Cortendorf wall mask 3408 designed by Albert Strunz 1950s
The Cortendorf factory was founded in 1890 by Julius Griesbach in Coburg-Cortendorf. In addition to decorative ceramic items, there was also a large selection of figurative ceramics.
The sculptor Albert Strunz introduced new design elements in 1954, including the female face masks introduced in 1958.
In 1973 the factory was taken over by the W. Goebel porcelain factory, Rödental.
