Studio made Brutalist copper and brass coffee table, circa 1970. Attributed to Brazilian designer Percival Lafer and working in the style of designer Paul Evans, the coffee table is layered with random sized pieces of splatter and drip patinated copper and brass. Similar tables with identical stapled oxidized copper plates have documented as made by Percival Laffer.The metal plates are affixed with copper staples then covered with a thick layer of resin. This remarkable table displays a seemingly endless variety of colors and shapes that change depending on the lighting.
