The upper cupboard doors of our object are fitted with faceted glass and fine lattice elements reminiscent of architectural window shapes - a motif that frequently appears in Hoffmann's work. Underneath is a mirror, which gives the piece of furniture visual depth and can also serve as a display surface. The lower body of the pillar cabinet consists of a drawer and a "blender" that cleverly imitates several drawers. This timeless piece of furniture can still be integrated into a modern living space well over a hundred years later. See less
