This is a beautiful brass trinket box made by Los Castillo of Taxco, Mexico in the 1950's. The top of the hand-wrought box is decorated with gemstones of various colors and inlaid with copper, brass and silver metal depicting a swordfish. The gemstones have colors of malachite, azurite, lapis lazuli, etc. The interior of the box is lined with wood. The underside is stamped "Heche en Mexico". It is about 5" wide, 3.75" deep, 1.125" high and weighs about 12 Oz.
