This table is distinguished by its two carved side uprights supporting a thick rectangular top, all in Keyaki wood. Designed in a spirit of sobriety and balance, it perfectly illustrates the formal language developed by Isamu Kenmochi within the Japanese modernist movement.
Originally designed for traditional interiors, it was notably used in the rooms of the Atami Garden Hotel, and is also known as a “Japanese-style desk”. Its low height and open structure make it a functional piece, adaptable to different uses.
