An impressive lidded beer stein/tankard
Salt glaze stoneware with Regensburg style figures in high relief
Panoramic scene with male and female personifications, possibly representing various professions at some kind of agricultural expo or so
There is a banner with a text, which we cannot decipher
With additional research the pattern could be easily identified
Pewter lid with scrolled thumbpiece
The volume is stamped upfront close to the rim - 1/2 l
Circa 1850's, Germany, most likely Regensburg
Measurements: Approx. 6" tall up to the finial (5.5" without the lid), x 4" base diameter (across)
Weighs about 1 lb. 14 oz.
Condition: Very Good overall. Some minor firing imperfections, the thumbpiece is slightly out of alinement. No major issues at all. Please see photos. All original.
