Designer Biography:
Niels Otto Møller (1920–1982) was a celebrated Danish furniture designer and craftsman, renowned for his dedication to traditional woodworking techniques and modernist aesthetics. Trained as a cabinetmaker before studying at the Aarhus School of Design, Møller founded J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in 1944. His meticulous attention to detail and insistence on quality materials resulted in some of the most revered dining chair designs of the 20th century, including the Model #71, Model #75, and Model #78. His work remains highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts worldwide.

The mix of solid … moreThis iconic set of Møller Model #71 dining chairs are in rare 100% original, vintage condition! The mix of solid and veneered Burmese teak frames and legs do show some signs of vintage wear such as nicks, scratches and minor scrapes (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided). With that said the wood is in overall very good shape and the variegated woodgrains are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light. The original paper cord seats too shows some signs of vintage wear such as minor stains and small areas of discoloration and fraying (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided). With that said all seats are comfortable and weight-bearing and are not missing any strands. As purists we strive to keep our pieces in as original condition as possible. This untouched set of Møller Model #71 dining chairs are incredibly comfortable, structurally sound and ready for decades more of use.
