The globe is a glass Duo Erdglobus with, paper overlay, a light inside, metal meridian and a wooden and chrome base. The information on the side of the globe reads "Columbus Duo Erdglobus Columbus Verlag Paul Oestergaard K.G. Berlin Und Stuttgart System: Villinger - Oestergaard Politisch und Physicalisch Bearbeitet: Dr. R. Neuse - Kartograph C. Luther". The underside of the base is stamped "Urban Archeology E.P. Tx.". The globe measures approximately 16-1/4 inches tall, 13-1/2 inches in diameter with an approximately 8-1/2 inch diameter base. The globe is faded and has some missing areas. The paper is raised on the underside. The cord and switch have burns and will need to be replaced. The cord appears to be a past replacement. The globe is sold untested. See less
