This vintage 5x10 Persian kilim is a mid-century flat weave believed to originate from the Qashqai tribe.
Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960, its design favors vibrant orange and blue in the wide range of warm colors it hosts. Keen eyes will further note its equal variety of geometric patterns, and admire the sense of movement they enjoy. It’s a gorgeous work of archaic motifs and personal details that’s exemplary of tribal flat weaves of this provenance.
