This vintage 2x9 Persian Kilim is believed to be a Ghazvin tribal rug from the titular city and Province in Iran (today spelled Qazvin). Handwoven in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960.
Its design enjoys tribal geometric patterns in many rich and vibrant colors on a burgundy undertone. Their variety offers a gorgeous sense of movement underfoot, as only such personal Persian folk art can. The narrow size, too, offers vast interior design applications today.
Condition:
This mid-century Persian flat weave further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
