This vintage 7x14 Persian Kilim is believed to be a Bidjar rug of the titular Northwest Persian city.
Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960, this flat weave is a gallery runner—a versatile size with vast applications today. Its design enjoys rich burgundy, navy blue, and beige in a traditional geometric pattern like a mosaic. Keen eyes will further note pink and orange accents within, and admire their subtle, playful complement to the movement. It’s an exemplary work of Bidjar Kilims in their richness, precision, and the overall sense of rustic, old-world charm this Persian tribal provenance enjoys.
Condition:
This mid-century Persian flat weave further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
