This new outdoor rug reinvents vintage Scandinavian Kilim in ways that both honor the Swedish minimalist aesthetic and modernize its construction. Our intricate blend of yarns, for example, lends a subtle striae with more of a sense of movement and depth—a subtle nod to Rollakan techniques in a modern fashion. The choice of colors, too, explores their retro feel in a more refreshed, vibrant quality. This particular Kilim enjoys blue, slate gray, cream and beige colorways with a cool, almost shabby-chic sense of beauty to it. It’s a smart balance of new and chic that brings mid-century geometric patterns a fabulous new look and feel.
