This evocative landscape by American painter and printmaker George Laurence Nelson captures a serene country path lined with majestic autumn trees. A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts and Académie Julian in Paris, Nelson returned to the United States in 1913 and later made his home in Kent, Connecticut. His refined technique and atmospheric compositions have earned him recognition among early 20th-century American artists.
