This is a one of a kind vintage Madeira linen hand towel, fingertip size in butter yellow with an embroidered oval cartouche of a galleon ship in shadow appliqué. Created in the Colonial Revival style of the 1920s and 1930s, the nautical decoration is detailed (birds flying around the ship) and expertly sewn. The edges are scalloped with pale peach/pink satin stitch silk embroidery. If you collect fine antique or vintage linens this is definitely one for your collection. Unused condition. See less
