The set features beautifully … Read more Magnificent set of five french carved beech dining chairs crafted in the neoclassical Louis XVI taste. The set features beautifully carved beech frames with oval cameo shaped backs decorated with ribbon motifs and ribbon wreath crests. The set consists of all armchairs with padded arms measuring 27 inches high. The frames have a festive and whimsical paprika colored naugahyde upholstery bordered by nickel-plated brass tack nail heads. The generous seats have carved rosettes on the corners and are supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet. The arm supports are decorated with acanthus leaves. The chairs have a painted finish with an intentionally distressed patina on the finish to mimic age. Very sturdy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Amazing profile and details.
