This beautifully carved double size bed frame has very detailed headboard and footboard with 2 siding rails. I have been told it is from France and dates to the late 1800's to early 1900's. It has three removable supporting rails (see the picture) but we put a full size mattress frame inside and place the mattress on top of it (See the first picture). It is made from walnut with a beautiful finish. It is in very good antique condition. I had this beautiful bed in my guess room in my pet free Arizona home, until I moved to Boston couple of years ago and had to downsize. I maintained the wood regularly.
The headboard height at peak is 54 inches and on the sides are 46 inches. The footboard has beautiful carving with the height of 30 inches in the middle and 33 inches on the sides, which is perfect for not blocking the view or watching the TV.
It is very comfortable for two people or just one.
