It is bronze or bronze color decorative metal with transluscent panel shades, and includes the ceiling cover and chain, wiring, etc. hardware to go from the fixture to the ceiling. Each measures about 32" tall (not including the chain and ceiling cover) and 12" in diameter. This listing is for a fixture that has a chain and wiring that is about 5" from the top of the fixture to the matching ceiling cover. (I have another separate Chairish listing for fixtures that have 38" chains/wiring from the top of the fixture to the ceiling cover.) Of course, it would be relatively easy add additional chain and wiring, if desired.

Each is in very nearly like-new condition -- in fact, there is an excellent chance you won't even see any patina/scratches on any of these. These are U.S. made McFadden Custom Lighting, St. Louis, MO), in approximately the early 1970's. The reason they are all in such excellent condition is that they were ALL just removed from the large auditorium where they had hung since installation -- in fact, I had to wait on the last one to be removed before picking them up. All of them work exactly as they should. The reason they were replaced was because, even with a tall ceiling in the auditorium, they hung down so low that they were going to be in the way of a balcony-level row of stage lighting, including spotlights directed toward a large speaking stage. The room in which they were located was always a non-smoking and constantly temperature and humidity controlled area.

Each fixture has 6 light sockets: 2 near the top that allow up to 75 watts each, 3 a few inches underneath that that allow up to 75 watts each, and then one socket that is mounted on a rod that extends downward nearer the bottom of the fixture that allows up to 300 watts. Thus, with all 6 sockets in use and at maximum wattage capacity, it can produce up to 675 watts. If that is too bright you can always either use fewer bulbs or less wattage per bulb. Each fixture works on a standard household 110V power.

At the bottom of each light fixture is a decorative bronze or bronze color metal diffuser -- these were designed to soften and distribute light more evenly, creating a gentler and more ambient illumination.

These lights would be magnificent hanging in fine home which features a large room with high ceilings, or a commercial building lobby or auditorium which has high ceilings, or in a church building auditorium. See less
