He authored two influential books on design and calligraphy: "The Elements of Design" in 1961 and "Calligraphy: The Art of Written Forms" in 1969. This 1963 work offers an exploration of ancient calligraphy on paper against an artfully aged stone-finish; a collage, or broadside of sorts. Mounted on a rigid wooden panel and framed in matte black wood. See less
