All hand painted and made . It's believed they were originally fixed to the inside of a chapel or church, and when they demo it, the tile got salvaged and later fixed into this thick wood carved frames. Possibly in the early 1900-1920s. See less

There are 6 tiles that have been repaired. It's believed that when they where taken from the wall of the chapel, some cracked in 2 or 3 pieces but they were salvaged and repaired. The original size of the tile outside the frame is around 11" tall x 11" wide x 1" thick. They are all hand made so glaze has some crazing in it from old age, and the colors are original and vary because every single piece is hand painted and unique. The wooden frames have some scratches that could be retouched if you wanted to. less
