Flowers were a traditional embellishment as seen on the front of this handcrafted trunk with red and white accents. The date of 1900 is seen along the top.
This trunk has original iron side handles and rests on small feet. Note photo of interior that reveals a small box to store smaller personal items.
Restored, strong and stable, this pine trunk is ready to be used and enjoyed. Wax finish. No lock nor key.
Heavy distress is seen to the painted finish (especially the top and feet), revealing the natural pine below and reflective of many years of use.
All scratches, cracks (see top), nicks, dings, stains, and age related separation (top) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this chest.
