The last of a group of paintings we purchased from a dealer in Ukraine years ago - this one turned up but we no longer have the name of the painter, sadly. There is a name on the back in Cyrillic (?), and at the bottom are two initials and "x.83." We had about a dozen from this particular artist, and those were all sold long ago. At any rate, it is an evocative evening scene in a village, with a glowing moon radiating its light. Oil on canvas, unframed. Moderate craquelure, in good shape overall. Will look wonderful once in a frame!
Proudly presented by Guy Lyman Fine Art, New Orleans.
