The piece is crafted from solid wood with a glass top, and shows Scapinelli’s signature approach to form—elegant, but with a distinct sense of movement. The structure is composed of softly curved legs that taper into hoof-like feet, joined by dynamic stretchers, one of which includes metal rods. The glass top rests securely within carved wooden lips that double as subtle decorative accents. Scapinelli was an Italian-born designer who became a prominent figure in Brazil’s mid-century modern movement.
