An iconic Carl Auböck II decanter and sculptural stand, designed and produced by the Auböck Werkstätte in Vienna, Austria, circa 1956. The hand-blown glass decanter rests in a brass cradle wrapped in hand-stitched leather, exemplifying Auböck's celebrated blend of modern sculpture and functional design. Included is a solid brass drip pan (not original to the piece) as a complimentary accessory. The decanter is unmarked; a photograph from The Workshop by Patrick Parrish documenting Auböck designs from 1930–1980 is included to support attribution.
Measurements: overall 18.75"H; stand 13.5"H x 10.25"W x 7"D; decanter 13"L x 5" dia.; brass dish 4" dia. x 1"H.
