Circa late 1700s/early 1800s very unusual and large rare antique Swedish ( or possibly french) Gustavian White Grey painted chest … Read more Circa late 1700s/early 1800s very unusual and large rare antique Swedish ( or possibly french) Gustavian White Grey painted chest of drawers commode with classic rococo style feet and drawer front detail on the drawer fronts and gilt edges. It has 3 drawers with extremely ornate handles and a faux marble effect hand painted top . As usual it has a plain back and the finish has the usual marks of age and usage with some long dead woodworm holes. The drawers have all the usual marks of age for a piece of this period and the drawer bottoms may contain old marks of use The drawers have been treated against woodworm and structurally sound for daily use (carefully!) please note the laptop/phone screen you use to view the item may cause the item colour to differ slightly from the actual colour in person This item is big and heavy.
