the original color scheme was cream white and black (doorhandles). The doorhandles were painted blue. They are restored to their original soft brilliant appearances. On the downside of the cabinet several layers of paint are still showing. This way we could see that the skirting board had the same color as the handles. The black skirting board was missing and has been re-made of 100 years old beech to stay close to the original cabinet. The skirting board now has the same color as the bakelite doorhandles. At some points we've restored the cabinet’s paint. All restorings are done by hand while retaining it's authenticity. Adding up all restorations we come to approximate 15 % which stays under the 30% to keep calling this cabinet: original.

a good example of dutch modernism in full glory. A new radical approach is shown through this design. All decoration has been left away to strengthen the definition: form follows function. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
