This is a pair of amethyst Block Crystal wine or pilsner glasses. They are the same pattern as Stockholm or Alborg but purple and may Tao Amethyst. Both are marked Block on the base as shown.
The problem is-they match, but they don’t match. Side by side you can see there are very obvious differences in the base of the glass. One is darker, has a more curved bottom and is slightly deeper. The other is lighter in color, obviously shorter at the base and not as curved. Both have the bubble in the base as shown.
Each glass measures 6.25 inches tall and is 2.75 inches across the rim. Weight for the pair is one pound, thirteen ounces.
Since Block doesn’t purple as an option in Stockholm or Alborg, I’d guess they might be Tao Amethyst. But I cannot begin to explain why they are shaped so differently. Even the bubble in the base of the darker glass is slightly larger. The Block marking is shown on both of them.
There are no chips, cracks, or other damage.
