Mirrors from this period were not just functional items but were status symbols. This mirror reflects the characteristic curves, gilded finish, and decorative flourishes typical of the era. Usually found in homes of the aristocracy and wealthy merchant class. This probably crated in either France or Italy. Time period is 18th or 19th century. This is hand-carved gilded wood. See less
