Celebrated abstract surrealist artist considered an outsider artist, but studied at the Art Students League, Fine Arts at CUNY and received degrees in art. She was featured in many galleries in NYC. Suffered from mental illness at 30 and was institutionalized often until her death. Her works bear out her demons and thoughts of aliens around her. She feared signing her works and used a stamp instead, always indicating what colors she used on the reverse of her works and never titling them, just giving them numbers. Her works are on Ebay right now for $4,000 and up, though examples can be found for less. Her art is becoming scarcer. This work circa 1970 See less
