A delightful antique Japanese ceramic humidor featuring the "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil" monkeys. Design also features multiple dragons and faces.
The "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" saying originates from a 17th-century carving over a door at the Tōshō-gū shrine in Nikkō, Japan, depicting three wise monkeys: Mizaru (covering eyes), Kikazaru (covering ears), and Iwazaru (covering mouth).
