Absolutely stunning large drum cabinet constructed of beautiful burled walnut, with solid brass feet and accents, and a beautiful hand-stitched … Read more Absolutely stunning large drum cabinet constructed of beautiful burled walnut, with solid brass feet and accents, and a beautiful hand-stitched ostrich leather top...this is an incredible piece---a reproduction of sorts, after a design that originated in Italy around 200 years ago....this piece was produced by Maitland-Smith, almost entirely hand made and finished, with wonderful attention to detail....the feet, as well as the accents that run the length of the doors, are solid brass....and the lighter toned burled walnut is sandwiched between a rich, darker finished walnut at either end of the cabinet....the ostrich leather top is fantastic---hand-stitched around the edge of the top---a unique touch that takes the piece to another level...I also have a custom cut glass piece that coves the top, and because the glass has always been there, the leather is in tremendous condition....the interior features a single adjustable wood shelf, and quite a good amount of storage space....I should also mention---this cabinet is very heavy for it's size, due to the high-end construction, and the solid brass pieces....it's in outstanding condition overall, with a very small amount of finish wear in a couple spots, but certainly nothing conspicuous....an incredibly impressive piece..
