A rare heirloom, this exceptional miniature oil painting has been in our family for over 90 years, crafted by my great-great-grandfather. The serene pastoral scene depicts a winding road leading to a charming farm, with a silo nestled beneath a graceful tree that appears to hover protectively over the landscape. The distant blueish mountains set the tranquil tone, fading into a soft light sky that gradually transitions into a rich blue overhead.
This exquisite painting is rendered on copper plate, a rare medium that enhances the depth and warmth of the colors, making the scene feel alive and timeless. The solid wood frame, with intricate OG detailing, adds a perfect touch of elegance and age-old craftsmanship. The painting is beautifully protected by a clear glass cover, allowing its fine details and vibrant colors to be preserved for years to come. The back is finished with a soft gray felt cover, and a small hanging triangle is included for easy display.
Dimensions: 2 3/8” W x 5 3/8” H x 1/2” D
This heirloom piece holds deep sentimental value, and it’s with great reluctance that we part with it. As much as it has been cherished as part of our family’s legacy, we recognize that it’s time for it to bring joy to another home, one that appreciates the beauty and history within this miniature masterpiece.
