This piece is a continuation of my Gulf Vegetation series started in 2023. Inspired by the Sunshine State, these compositions and colors are a deep medication of warm salty seas that I dream of while nursing cold ears and toes here in Traverse City, Michigan, all winter long.
Blessed with in-laws in Sarasota to visit, I am never more anxious to get back to my easel than after time spent there on the beach or otherwise, soaking in the vibrant colors and cultures that inhabit that corner of our nation. I am looking forward to spending much more time there after the four kiddos are launched into adulthood!
I have quite a few patrons in the Sunshine State, and this one is for them!
