Large antique Iznik water bottle
nicely converted into a lamp on
a black wood base.
Fittings and mountings are old but
are in very nice condition with newer
pull chain sockets. There also is
an on/off line switch on the chord.
Late 19th Century European Iznik Style
Pottery like those that sold at Sotheby's
(pictured) probably Samson France.
Most pictures were taken with flash but the
most accurate to actual color are the
close ups which were taken with no flash.
32" high to top of finial.
Ceramic only: 20" high and
approximately 11" in diameter.
Vivid natural colors bleeding on to
surrounding white ground and
raised applique paint work.
Beautiful unusual lamp.

Excellent antique condition
Shade good but is aging.
I have cut open the bottom felt
so you can see how it was done.
I will add a new felt over this one
before sending. See less
