It features a conical … Read more This rare pendant lamp was produced by the renowned German lighting company Temde in the 1960s. It features a conical lampshade crafted from tightly wound string, creating a warm, diffused glow when lit. The natural string is beautifully contrasted with sculptural teak wood accents — including a horizontal wooden rod integrated into the lower shade and a flared teak canopy.

The lamp’s internal pulley mechanism allows the height of the pendant to be adjusted, a typical feature in Temde’s more functional lighting designs of the era. Its organic materials and craftsmanship reflect the influence of Scandinavian design on postwar German lighting.
