It has a reticulating arm that allows the lamp head to rotate 180 degrees, while flexing ability to go up or down. The lamp section also swivels for even more lighting options. As a space saver, the lamp head can be closed down close the base. These lamps offer a great range of lighting for studying, drawing, reading, etc. Made of steel, this lamp is sturdy and stays in place. The weightiness of the base allows the light head to be moved with ease and won't tip over like newer lighter weight options. Its classic industrial design is timeless and looks amazing in any decor's environment. This lamp is in working condition, but while not be shipped with the bulbs as they are old. The measurements of this lamp are as follows: The head of lamp is 18.5" wide. The lamp head can extend to 25" tall. Closed the lamp with stand 25.25" tall. The base is 9.5" wide x 6.25" deep x 2.5" tall. The lamp head can be extended to 28" outward. For being 60+ years old, this lamp is in very good vintage condition. Please see pictures for condition. There are finish degradation spots on the back of main pole. These is a scratch on the side of the swivel base. It is a brownish gray color. The cord is in good condition and is two prong.
