A Vintage, carved, camphor wood storage chest from Majestic Co., a well known furniture company in Kowloon, China that has been in operation for over 40 years.
Camphor wood is known for its aromatic properties (a scent similar to cedar wood), which repels insects. Camphor is quite durable, as it is resistant to rot and decay. All hinges and metal detailing are made from solid brass.
This chest exhibits beautiful carvings on all visible sides. The carvings are detailed depictions of everyday life in ancient China.
This chest might be used as storage for blankets, seasonal clothing, table linens or other items used only occasionally.
The chest is structurally sound, and all blemishes are limited to the finish and can be eliminated.
